Program Overview: The NYCHA Technology Academy is an intergenerational collaboration that bridges the digital divide and brings technology projects to NYCHA developments throughout the five boroughs. The Public Housing Community Fund, in partnership with Soulful Synergy, developed the inaugural youth-centered digital literacy program to provide comprehensive technology skills training to youth ages 16 to 24. Working alongside resident association leaders on projects that boost digital communication in their communities, youth become more tech-savvy, gain work experience, explore technology careers and tools, build relationships and networks, and access resources!

The program launched as a pilot on April 27, 2023 thanks to support from the AT&T Foundation. Charter Communications provided additional funding for 2024 and 2025 to expand the program. Read more: Spectrum Announces Digital Grant To Nonprofit, Benefits Harlem Community
